Botulinum Toxins- "Wrinkle Relaxers and Freezers"

Botulinum Toxins often known as "Wrinkle relaxers" or “Freezers”, a more general name for the variety of injectables we use to help you look younger and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In the beginning of the TV show, trademark names couldn’t be used, so these generic names were substituted to describe these products. They allow us to “sculpt” a natural, more beautiful look and can even create a Liquid Facelift using these products.

What is a “Freezer”?

Available freezers are BOTOX®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®, although freezer is really a misnomer. They don’t actually freeze anything, and contrary to the jokes on sitcoms, they don’t have to prevent you from making normal facial expressions.

These injectables often combined with fillers work on wrinkles that are caused by muscle contractions. They reduce the activity of the muscle, relaxing it so that the skin also relaxes and smoothes the line or wrinkle.

We always use freezers in a smart way so that your face is still flexible. A frozen face never looks natural.

Wrinkle Relaxer FAQ"

How does the botulinum toxin work?

When a wrinkle is caused by repeated muscle contractions like your frown lines, these products are often the answer because it reduces some of the muscle’s activity, smoothing out the area. You’ll start to see more improvement a few days after your treatment. It usually takes 3-7 days for BOTOX to take full effect.

How long do the injections last?

The usual dosage lasts 3-4 months. If you opt for a smaller dose, you may have to get injections again in less than four months if you want to maintain your new look.

What is recovery like?

Recovering from BOTOX injections is a piece of cake. If you have any reaction at all, you might have a slight bruise in the injection area or feel a little sore. You can easily cover any bruising with makeup, and these effects go away within a day or two.

Is BOTOX safe?

Is it safe?

while there are potential s/e with all procedures and medications. Yes, it’s very safe. Like you’ve heard, BOTOX consists of botulinum toxin, but BOTOX is a purified protein of botulinum. So, there is no reason to worry. Plus, it was approved more than 20 years ago to treat facial muscle spasms in children.

BOTOX injections can be done concurrently with facial fillers to contour your face and create a liquid facelift.
