BOTOX®
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the first treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While individual results may vary, usually one 10-minute treatment will yield a noticeable improvement that will last for several months. BOTOX Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the muscle contractions that cause lines in the forehead and wrinkles around eyes. The risk of adverse reactions is low, but every person reacts slightly differently to the procedure. There may be a slight bruising at the injection site, and possible redness or swelling, but normal activities can be resumed immediately. Full results will be seen between three to ten days after treatment. For complete Botox Safety Information, click here.

The whole treatment is very short and only takes approximately 10 minutes.
How quickly are results noticed?
Results are seen very quickly. It is common for results to be noticeable within 24 to 48 hours after treatment.

Keep Your Face Free of Other Substances One Week After Injections
Most of us have some kind of face routine to keep it clean, fresh and beautiful, however for at least a week after the Botox injection procedure keep your face clear of any and all products. Skin care products applied can hurt the effects of Botox on the face. This includes but is not limited to masks, cleansers, toners and scrubs.
Stay out of the Sun on the Day of Your Botox Procedure
The sun has a number of good and bad effects of the body, and one of those effects is increasing the circulation of blood throughout the body. This increased circulation can cause dilation of the blood vessels, which can lead to Botox traveling through your body quicker than intended. Therefore, in order to maximize the effectiveness of Botox, try to avoid being in the sun on the day of your Botox treatment and make sure to wear a sunscreen that is at least SPF 30.
Get Botox Regularly to Make the Results Last Longer
Getting Botox on a regular schedule will weaken the muscles over time, meaning that the wonderful results will last longer. This is a cumulative effect, so over time if you are administered Botox on a regular basis the results will last longer and longer, However, you do not want to inject Botox too frequently. Space your procedures at least 12 weeks apart to avoid any potential problems. If you get Botox more frequently, you risk becoming resistant and building a tolerance to the procedure.
Make Funny Faces to Keep Wrinkles Away Longer
Some research studies have found that activating the muscles that were just injected may cause the results to last longer. With that in mind, make funny faces, twitch your face and do anything else to get those face muscles working overtime! However, make sure to run this by your doctor before doing so.
Prolong the Effects of Botox By Taking Zytaze
Zytaze is a prescription medication made from zinc that may help keep the results of Botox longer. Zytaze purports to speed up Botox and make it last for a longer amount of time. If you want to take Zytaze, do so a few days before Botox for maximum results.
